Minnesota Highest, Louisiana Lowest Costs in the U.S.

The Rochester area in Minnesota reported the highest average costs for home health care services in 2012. Home Health Aides in Rochester make between $24 and $44 per hour, with an average cost of $32 according to a study from the MetLife Mature Market Institute®. Homemaker Aides/Companions reported an average cost of $28 per hour, with a low of $20 and a high of $44.

The same study found the lowest costs in the Shreveport Area of Louisiana. Both Home Health Aides and Homemaker Aides/Companions there reported an average hourly cost of $13.
