Friendly volunteers deliver meals to seniors and disabled adults who live in their home, but are unable to shop or cook.

There are two healthy meals each day; a hot meal and a cold one, brought into the home. The service is available Monday through Friday. Seniors can use this service on either a temporary or long-term basis. Service begins within several days of signing-up.

Cost

The cost of Meals on Wheels depends on a person's income and expenses. A sliding scale is used to determine each person's fee. Food assistance programs like the Independence Card are accepted for payment, as well as Master Card and Visa credit cards. 

How To Apply

You will need to furnish basic information, such as name, address and Social Security number. In addition, be prepared to list any major medical issues and describe the income and expense situation for the person who will be receiving meals. You can contact Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland by phone at 866.558.0827 (toll-free), or fill-out an online registration form.
