Shut-In Visit Program
Maryland Independent Living and Home Health Care

An old-fashioned, friendly visit from volunteers to the home health patient.

Home-bound Baltimore County residents age 60 or over who have been referred by caseworkers can enjoy conversation and the company of friendly volunteers.

How do volunteers help the Home Health patient or elderly?

Volunteers can provide friendly visiting once a week; telephone visiting with regular calls; running errands; escort trips for medical appointments; shopping; and limited handyman service.

The program is targeted to home-bound seniors who have limited social contact and need help to stay in their homes.
