Daily phone calls check up on homebound seniors
For home-bound seniors who are pretty much isolated, the Department of Family Services, Aging Services Division has a program that provides daily phone calls to the individual.
Why a phone call? How this program works.
Friendly, concerned volunteers make daily telephone calls to seniors to remind them to have the air conditioning or heat on, check up that the individual has taken their daily medication and to see if there are any services provided by the Area Agency on Aging that they might need.
You must be 6o years old or older, live in Prince George's County, be home-bound or isolated, or just need a friendly voice to keep contact.
