Cost in Missouri?

As an average, how much will my family have to pay?

In our experience, this is one of the first questions almost every family asks. We found average costs for Missouri in the data from the MetLife 2012 Market Survey of Long-Term Care Costs.

The survey says that the average cost in 2012 of Nursing Home care in Missouri was $169 per day for private care, and $150 per day for semi-private care.

The daily cost varies, depending on your locality. In Kansas City for instance, the average cost of private care per day was $168; while in St. Louis it was $196. The rest of the state has a lower daily cost, as an average, of $156.

The state with the lowest avergae cost (private room) was Louisiana, at $157 per day. The highest costs rported were in Alaska, at $687 per day.

The United States average cost for a semi-private room was $222.00.

The average cost of a home health aide in the state was $19.00 per hour. The cost of care in an Assisted Living facility was $3,128 per month. The average cost of Adult Day Services (Adult Day Care) was $65.00 per day.
