They say the average cost in 2010 of Nursing Home care in New Jersey was $307.00 per day for private care, and $277.00 per day for semi-private care.

The daily cost varies, depending on your locality. In the Bridgewater Area, for instance, the average cost of private care per day was $321.00. In the Cherry Hill Area, it was $302.00. The rest of the state has a lower daily cost, as an average, of $302.00.

The United States average cost for a semi-private room was $205.00.

For comparison, the average monthly cost for Assisted Living in New Jersey was $4,286.00. The cost of a home health aide was $21.00 per hour.
