"A continuing care retirement community is a single community that offers a variety of care options and living arrangements. This allows residents to continue living in the community, even as their need for care changes. Most CCRCs offer individual homes or apartments for seniors who want to live on their own, an assisted living facility for those who need help with some daily activities, and a nursing home for residents who need around-the-clock care.
