PACE Eligibility. Who Can Enroll?

Your PACE Center enrollment specialist can help you with each eligibility requirement. You are not alone.

What's needed to qualify for the PACE program?

According to Medicare.gov, and the National PACE Association, you can join LIFE if:
  • You are 55 or older.
  • You live in the service area of a PACE organization.
Each PACE Center serves a particulair area, such as a city, county or a combination of both. Most PACE Centers describe their service area on their websites.
  • You need a nursing home-level of care. Your need for a nursing home-level of care must be certified by your state. In many cases, this is determenined by the Area Agency for Aging that serves your area. Your PACE Center enrollment specialist can probably guide you through this process.
  • You are able to live safely in the community with help from PACE.If you qualify and receive PACE care, you need to be capable of living safely in the "community". "Community" could be your home, or, in some cases, in the home of a care-giver such as relative. Again, you need to discuss this requirement with a professional PACE Center enrollment specialist or a qualified specialist at your Area Agency for Aging
