The largest share of Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs) are in the middle of the state. Two thirds (66%) of the 86 CCRC's in our listings are located in the belt that includes Tampa/St Pete, Ft Myers, Palm Beach and Orlando.

The northern panhandle (3 CCRCs) and southern tip around Miami (6 CCRCs) offer the fewest choices.

Who Owns The CCRCs in Florida?

It's obvious, a large majority of the Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs) in Florida are owned by non-profit organization and corporations. Non-profits make up a whopping 77% of all the Florida CCRCs in our listings.

Out of that 77% total, roughly one-fifth are owned by faith-based non-profits.
